I did this by using an amplifier and putting paper with salt ontop , I played each note on the piano and when the salt vibrated it moved the crystals and in some cases settled and formed patterns. I used some artistic licence when constructing the images and plotted the shapes by studing how the crystals moved. I then converted the formations into the vector images.
